This mod uses scripting, so SKSE is required for it to work correctly. The mod creator is responsive to player bug reports and has updated the mod to work with Skyrim Special Edition. Players can enjoy a more roleplaying style by adding the ability to knock and have the opportunity to convince or threaten them to let you in. Simply Knock SE allows Skyrim players a creative way to interact with NPCs that typically lock themselves in their homes at night. Simply Knock uses a custom SKSE function that solves this problem. That means that Skyrim’s scripting treats it much like stepping through a wormhole - you don’t know what’s on the other side. Continue to mod as you would today or download any Wabbajack list that requires the downgraded Skyrim.

Copy the files from the modlist install folder into your Steam Folder. There’s no default Papyrus function for getting a door’s destination. Install Skyrim SE via Steam (which will now be a new binary) Install the Wabbajack 'downgrade modlist'.

This mod is different from similar mods because it solves the biggest problem of discovering to what cell a door will lead. I've got this horrible feeling these aren't all going to play well together, and there's no acknowledgement of this anywhere online. If steam is already running then MO2 thinks for a bit but nothing starts up. When I start SKSE through MO2 without steam running in the background it starts up steam and logs my account in before the game starts up. Upon convincing the NPC to let you in, the area will unlock, and the occupants will be non-hostile. If they refuse, they’ll continue to decline for the next 24 hours. So my copy is legal and running through steam. If no one is home or can’t answer the door, players won’t hear anything on the other side of the door. Upon knocking on a door, you’ll hear a voice and have options to persuade or intimidate them into opening up.

It sounds like you had a conflict and/or a load order problem that is stuck in your saved folder. This mod allows you to visit NPCs after dark and attempt to interact with them behind their locked doors. I open SKSE64 in File Manager to see where it has it located. Pic 3: Vortex Mod page, w/ SKSE64 and SkyUI. (Right) SKSE opened through File Manager in Vortex. Name: Skse And Nexus Mod Manager: File size: 23 MB: Date added: January 24, 2013: Price: Free: Operating system: Windows XP/Vista/7/8: Total downloads: 1058 In the meantime, it might help to know that a mod manager is optionalyou can install mods without ever touching Nexus Mod Manager Nexus Mod Manager. Pic 2: (Left) Skyrim SE folder with SKSE launcher and other files. Uninstalling any mod mid game tends to cause problems that won't be resolved without starting a new game from a clean save.įwiw, I run SKSE, SkyUI, and a lot of mods including Deadly Dragons (in some games ~ other games I use a different dragon mod) without any problems. Pic 1: Internet Explorer download page for SKSE. That way you'll have a much better idea of which mod is causing a problem ~ although you may have to do some reading to figure out where the conflict is coming from. Install them one at a time and play a bit to make sure everything is working. Without a list of the mods you installed and your load order, no one is going to be able to really help.Īlso, don't just install a bunch of mods. Install and use a mod manager, and run LOOT to sort your mods properly.

My best advice is to download a clean copy of Skyrim, and then make a copy of that file on your desktop or anywhere you won't lose it. Did you download/install using a mod manager?
